1092 JOURNAL. OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25,
several sections of the Auction Law, requiring the Auction-
eers to report to the City Comptroller and pay the State du-
ties into the City Treasury, and requiring the City Comp-
troller to pay all excess over twenty thousand dollars into
die State Treasury, thus avoiding the circuity, now required,
of paying first into the State Treasury, and then requiring
the State to refund to the City. The bill further provides
the necessary machinery for enforcing its provisions in the
Criminal Court of Baltimore City.
Your Committee having discharged the duty devolved
upon them, respectfully ask to be discharged from the fur-
ther consideration of the subject.

chapter 108, of the Acts of 1865, entitled a further supplement to an Act to incorporate the Baltimore City Passenger
'Railway Company, and. to re-enact the same with amendments.
The question recurring upon sustaining the motion sub-
mitted by Mr. Kirk, on Friday last, to substitute the bill for
the unfavorable report of the Committee,
Mr Colton,' of Baltimore City, moved, to lay the motion on
the table.
