So the amendment was adopted.

Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Ajrundel, submitted the following
amendment :

Sec. 1, sub-section, "Baltimore City," add at end of line
17 : to Anne Arundel County Academy, the sum of fifteen
hundred dollars.

To St. Mary's Catholic Parochial School, of Annapolis
city, one thousand dollars, to be applied to the education of
free scholars of said school.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Purnell submitted the following amendment:

Sec. 1, sub-section, "Baltimore City," line 9, strike out the
word "fifteen" before the word "thousand," and insert in lieu
thereof the word twelve, and add after the word "dollars," in
line 9, to the Maryland Industrial School for Girls, three
thousand dollars.

On motion of Mr. Merrick,
A division of the question was ordered.

The question then recurring upon the first division of the
amendment to strike out "fifteen," and insert twelve,

It was rejected.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
second division of the amendment, to add after the word "dol-
lars," in line 9: to the Maryland Industrial School for Girls,
three thousand dollars,

On motion of Mr. Purnell,
