The committee to whom was referred an order of the
House of Delegates, "to determine the number of officers
necessary to a proper organiza ion of the same, and to nomi-
nate'persons to fill the said offices," have, according to
order, had the same under consideration, and beg leave to
report, through their chairman, the following order :

Ordered, that the following named gentlemen be declared
the permanent officers of this House :

Charles G. Worthington, of Howard County, Sergeant-at-
Arm

John Hagan, of Frederick County, Assistant Sergeant-at-
Arms.

John D. McEvoy, of Allegany County, Postmaster.

Garrett M. Hart, of Kent County, Assistant Postmaster.

Doorkeepers:—James Stanton, of Baltimore City, and
Samuel J. Robinson, of Baltimore County.

Grafton Duvall, of Anne Arundel County, Journal Clerk.

William B. GodJaul, of St. Mary's County, Engrossing
Clerk.

Committee Clerks:—John Dawkins, of Calvert County;
Frank B. Cooksey, of Charles County , Reuben Bogeler, of
Montgomery County; Baker Edelin, of Prince George's
County; Samuel S. Sudler, of Somerset County ; John Spry
Leonard, of Talbot County, and Jonathan J. Fooks, of Wico-
mico County.

Folders:—John W. Corby, of Washington County . Win,
T. Bullen, of Worcester County, and Esma Lowe, of Caroline
County.

Edward A. Marshall, of Dorchester County, Keeper of
Committee Rooms.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Colton, all the officers elect, except
Messrs. Hart, Gooksey, Goddard, Dawkins. Edelen Sudler,
Leonard, Lowe, and Nugent, were severally qualified by the
Speaker.

Mr. Choate, Chairman of Select Committee on Rules, sub-
mitted the following report:
