On motion of Mr. Wootton,
The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill enti-
tled an Act to repeal chapter 299, of the Laws of Maryland,
approved March 30th, 1868, entitled an Act to repeal the
Act of 1867, chapter 290, entitled an Act to add a new
Article to the Code of Public General Laws, to be entitled,
"Public Roads," except so far as said Act relates to Somer-
set county.
Said bill being upon a second reading.
The bill was then read a second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
On motion of Mr. Dennis, (the rules being suspended,)
The House proceeded to the consideration of Senate bills
entitled to a third reading.
The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 22, of
the Code of Public Local Laws for Wicomico county, by
adding several new sections thereto, entitled an Act to ex-
tend the corporate limits of the town of Salisbury, and to
enlarge the powers of the town Commissioners of said town,
to come in alter section 21, of said Article,
Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
