Said bill was then sent tothe Senate.

On motion of Mr. Neill, (the rules being suspended,)

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorprate the Copper Company, of Wash-
ington county.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Washington delegation to
introduce a bill to provide for the protection of birds in
Washington county.

Also,

Leave was granted to the Washington delegation to
introduce a bill to repeal sections 112 and 113, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, entitled " "Washington County," sub-
title "Hagerstown," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

On motion of Mr. Martin, (the rules being suspended,)

Leave was granted to the Committee on Militia to intro,
dnce a bill to allow James L. Thomas, Andrew J. Quade-
Wm. H. Herbert, Benjamin Keed and Louisa Mills, to file
their claims for State bounty, before the Comptroller, under
the law of 1867, and to receive said bounty.

On motion of Mr. Purnell, (the rules being suspended,)

Leave was granted to the Worcester delegation and Mr.
Chapman, to report a bill to amend chapter 424, of the Laws
passed January, session 1868, incorporating the town of Ber-
lin, in Worcester county.

Mr. Baldwin, of Harford, (the rules being suspended,)
presented the petition of Joshua R. Green and 100 others,
for a bridge across the Little Gunpowder Falls, on the road
leading from Towsontown to Upper Cross Roads.

Which was read and referred to the Harford delegation.

Mr. Martin, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order :

Ordered, That Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel county, be
granted leave of absence until Monday next.
Which was adopted.

The bill entitled an Act to regulate fees of the Sheriff of
Worcester county, so far as relates to the board of prisoners.

Being upon a third reading,

Mr. Purnell submitted the following amendment:

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts, so far as they
may be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be, and
the same are hereby repealed.
