Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland, from section 114
to 133 inclusive, title "Cecil County," sub-title "North
East," and re-enact the game with amendments,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Owings, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to provide for maintaining and keep-
ing in repair the public roads in Catvert county, and to re-
peal the Act passed at Januarj session, 1868, chapter 299, so
far as the same applies to Calvert county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Kean, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favo-
rably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Citizens' Bank of

Cumberland.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Martin, Chairman of the Select Committee on State
Tobacco Wart-houses, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act for the relief of Richard S. Mercer

and to pay to Pi-ter W. Grain and A. C. Stephens, Assignees
in Bankruptcy of Thos. F. Bowie, a sum of money errone-
ously paid into the State Treasury by Thomas F. Bowie, on
account of storage of tobacco.

Which was read a first time.

The House proceeded to the consideration of the order of,
the day, being the bill entitled an Act to repeal section 3, of
Article 95, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Usury," and to re-enact the same with amendments, and
to add an additional section, to be section 6 of said
Article.

Pending which,

On motion of Mr. Chapman,

The further consideration thereof was postponed and the
House proceeded to the consideration of bills entitled to
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Kent county, to open and enlarge the public
roads in said county, parsing through the village known as
Massey's Cross-Roads in said county,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
