Mr. Sanner, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order:

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that had Jas.
B. Sanner been in his seat, he would have voted against the
bill for the increase of licenses.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Sanner, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order :

Ordered, That the Comptroller be, and he is hereby re-
quested to report to this House at an early a day as possi-
ble, the amount of money received by the Treasurer for li-
censes, and to specify what amount was received for license
for business done in the City of Baltimore for the year
1869.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Gatch moved that the House do now adjourn.

The following message, together with accompanying
vouchers, were received from his Excellency the Governor, per
hands of Richard C. Hollyday, Esq., Secretary of State:

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, March 8, 1870.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates of Maryland:

I herewith, in conformity with the 32nd section of the 3rd
Article of the Constitution, transmit to you a list of the
vouchers of expenditures of the Contingent Fund, from the
20th of January, 1869, to the 3rd of March, 1870, inclusive.
These expenditures have been for printing, stationery, ex-
penses of requisitions to other States for the arrest of fugi-
tives from justice, and other expenses of the Executive De-
partment, as will fully appear from the several vouchers on
file in this Department, and which are prepared for the ex-
amination of the proper Committee of your Honorable Body.
