introduce a bill to add certain sections to the 58th Article of
Code of Public Laws, relating to lunatics and insane per-
sons.

On motion of Mr. Dennis,

Leave was granted to Messrs. McLane and Webb to re-
port a bill to repeal sections 472 and 473, of Article 4, of
Public Local Laws of the City of Baltimore, entitled "In-
spection of Live Stock."

On motion of Mr. Sword,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to amend an Act passed at December session,
1836, chapter 76, respecting the charter of the Franklin
Railroad Company to the right of way through Washington
county.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported a bill entitled an Act to create State Bank-
ing Institutions, and to enable the several Banks in this
State—State and National—to avail of the provisions thereof,
and asked to be discharged from the further consideration
thereof, and that the bill be printed and referred to the
Committee on Currency.

The bill was read a first time, ordered to be printed,
the Committee discharged and the bill referred to the Com-
mittee on Currency.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to "add an additional section to Ar-
ticle 14, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Bills
of Exchange and Promissory Notes," and be section 10 of
said Article.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Ar-
ticle 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Balti-
more City," sub-title "Police," and be section 827 of said
Article.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 63 of Article 81,
of the Code of Public General Law's, entitled "Revenue and
Taxes," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time.
