the second line.

and Wm. B. Hill, of Prince George's county.

Sec. 2, second line, after the word "pier," insert: and one-
half the length of the same

Sec. 2, at the eyd of eighth line, after the word "pier,"
insert: and further it shall bo the duty of the State Wharf-
inger to enforce the provisions of this sectioin.

Sec. 3, second line, after the word "thereon," insert: un-
der the supervision of the Superintendent of Labor and Ag-
riculture.

Which were severally read and adopted.
Mr. Sanner, by unanimous consent,
Submitted the following amendment :

Sec. 1, line 7, after the word "produce," insert the words.

The amendment was adopted, and the bill as amended,

Read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The House then proceeded to the consideration of the next
order of the day,

Being the bill entitled an Acb to add additional sections to
Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick
county, relating to the powers and duties cf the Mayor, Al-
dermen and Common Council of Frederick, to follow section
169, added thereto by the Act of 1868, chapter 87.

Said bill being upon its passage,

Mr. Ritter moved to postpone the further consideration of
the bill until to-morrow.

Decided in the negative.

On motion of Mr. McCreery,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill made the order of the day for Tuesday, 8th of March.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 69 of Article 1, of
Public Local Laws, entitled "Allegany County," sub-title
"Fences," and to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
