And the bill referred to the Committee on Corporations.

The bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to the
Act of 1865, chapter 36, entitled an Act to incorporate the
German Fire Insurance Company of Baltimore,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 6, of Article 83,
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Exemption from
Executions," and to re-enact the same so as to read as follows

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the 7th section of Article
28, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the cor-
rection of errors in the assessment of property not liable to
be assessed, and inserting in said Article in lieu of the sec-
tion so repealed, the following section relating to said sub-
ject,

Being upon a second reading,

The question recurring upon the amendments proposed by
the Committee on the Judiciary on the 17th instant,

The amendments were adopted, and the bill, as amended,
read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third
reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of Assembly of
1868, chapter 292, adding an additional section to Article
51, of the Code of Public General Laws, under the title of
''Landlord and Tenant/' by repeal of the said Act, and re-
enacting the same,

Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Merrick submitted the following amendment:
Section 22, line 6, after the word "Tenant," insert the
words: or by any Administrator of a deceased tenant.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Kilbourn submitted the following amendment:

Section 22, line 3, after the word "advances," insert the
words : by the landlord.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Mitchell proposed the following amendment:

Amend by inserting the following as section one:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Act of Assembly of 1868, chapter 229, adding
an additional section to Article 51, of the Code of Public Gen-
