Mr. Hopkins presented the petition of Elizabeth Myers,
widow of Henry Myers, deceased, for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Purnell presented the petition of Wm. F. P. Bowen
and others, praying the passage of a law prohibiting the
sale of alcoholic liquor in Newark, Worcester county.

Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, presented the peti-
tion of B Tongue and others, asking an amendment to the
School Law, so as to provide for filling vacancies in the
County Boards of School Commissioners.
