The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Trustees of Me-
chanicstown Academy, Frederick county, Maryland, or their
successors to sell and convey said Academy, and distribute
the proceeds of the sale thereof among the stockholders.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to refund to John R. Robertson,
late Sheriff of Charles county, the sum of forty-nine dollars
and fourteen cents, being interest upon the balance of his ac-
counts as adjusted by the Comptroller, September 30th, 1869,
under Act of 1868, chapter 210.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act granting the assent of the Gene-
ral Assembly of Maryland to a bequest of a legacy made in
the last will and testament of Elizabeth A. McMains, late of
Cecil county, deceased, to the Trustees of the Lower West
Nottingham Presbyterian Church, of said county.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to amend the Act passed March
9th, 1850, to incorporate the Potomac Steamboat Company,
and to extend the charter of the same as amended.
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 18, of the Act
entitled an Act to incorporate a company to build a Turn-
pike Road from Liberty .town, Frederick county, through
Johnsville to PipeCreek, chapter 338, passed January session,
1864, and re-enact the same with amendments.
The House then proceeded to the consideration of the-
special order of the day, being the Resolutions in reference
to the claim of the State against the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad.
The question recurring upon the Resolutions submitted by
Mr. Streett, as an amendment to the Resolutions submitted
by Mr. Hoblitzell, to the Resolutions submitted by Mr. Mer-
rick, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means.
Pending the consideration of which,
On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,
A call of the House was ordered.
