CHAPTER 477.

AN ACT to repeal the Act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-seven, Chapter three hundred and
eighty-five, which provides for paying pensions
to the Maryland soldiers of the war of eighteen
hundred and twelve, and to the widows of de-
ceased soldiers of that war, and also to repeal
the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
Chapter four hundred and thirty-two, providing
pensions for certain soldiers and widows of sol-
diers of the war of eighteen hundred and twelve,
and to provide in lieu thereof for allowing1 pen-
sions to certain soldiers and widows of soldiers
of the war of eighteen hundred and twelve.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-seven, Chapter three hundred and eighty-
five, and the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty-
eight, Chapter four hundred and thirty-two, pro-
viding for paying pensions to soldiers and widows
of soldiers of the war of eighteen hundred and
twelve, be and the same are hereby repealed, and
following enacted in lien thereof.

Repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the State Trea-
surer, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to pay an an-
nual pension of eighty dollars, in four equal and
quarterly installmants of twenty dollars each, to
each one of the persons hereinafter named, during
his or her natural life, to wit :
