the same deposited with the Treasurer of this State,
as a guarantee for the payment of the policies of
insurance issued by said Company; and the said
Company, from time to time, as they shall deem
proper, may sell and dispose of said securities, and
exchange and re-deposit the same with the Trea-
surer, under such rules and regulations for said
exchange and re-deposit as said Treasurer shall
direct, the said Company confining the said busi-
ness of sale, disposition and exchange of said securi-
ties above named in this Section; the interests and
profits accruing and made on said securities, and
the sale or exchange thereof, to be collected by
and paid over to said Company.

AN ACT to repeal an Act passed January Session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, relating to
Registration of Voters, and to enact other pro-
visions in lieu thereof.
|

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the, General Assembly
of Maryland, That an Act passed January Session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, relating to regis-
tration of voters, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed, and the following sections enacted in lieu
thereof:

Sec. 2. The Governor shall nominate, and by
and with the advice of the Senate appoint at every
regular session of the Legislature to be held here-
after, one person in each ward of Baltimore City,
and one person in each election district in every
county; voters in said wards and districts respec-
tively, to be styled Officers of Registration, who
shall perform the duties imposed on them by this
Article; and all such officers, before entering upon
the discharge of their duties, sha.ll take and sub-
scribe before the clerk of some one of the courts of
