the corporation, sell their property, and settle up
the business of the concern, in case they do not
assent to any proposed alteration in their charter;
and in case of the repeal of the charter, they shall
also have the right to settle up the affairs of the
corporation in the mode hereinbefore provided.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 431.

AN ACT to repeal Section ten, Chapter two hun-
dred and ninety-nine, of the Acts of eighteen
hundred and sixty-eight, entitled " Public
Roads," so far as the same may relate to Talbot
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section ten, Chapter two hun-
dred and ninety-nine, of the Acts of eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-eight, entitled "Public Roads," so
far as the same may relate to Talbot County, is
hereby repealed.

Repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
go into effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to regulate joint fences in Carroll County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following additional Sec-
tion be added to Article seven, Maryland Code of
Public Local Laws, entitled " Carroll County," to
be entitled Section one hundred and forty-seven :
