not exceeding sixty-six feet in width, with all
necessary and convenient sidings and turnouts,
workshops, warehouses, depots and other conve-
nient buildings and appurtenances, and the land
necessary therefor, and that the powers and duties
of the said Company in the construction of said
works, and the making of contracts for the pur-
chase of and condemnation of land and materials,
shall be the same and exercised in the same man-
ner as is provided in reference to the Western
Maryland Railroad Company, by the Act of the
General Assembly of Maryland, mentioned in the
sixth section of this Act, and the several amend-
ments and supplements thereto.

Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That the President
and Directors of the said Company, or a majority
of them, may lease the road and equipments of
the said Company to the Western Maryland Rail-
road Company, and to no other Company or indi-
vidual, for such price and upon such terms as may
be agreed upon by the President and Directors of
the respective companies, or a majority of them.

Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That any private
corporation chartered under the laws of the State
of Maryland, may subscribe to the capital stock
of the said Company, or endorse or guarantee any
part of its lands.

Sec. 13. And be it enacted, That the President
and Directors of said Company, or a majority of
them, may from time to time issue the bonds of
said Company to an amount not exceeding in the
aggregate the sum of three millions of dollars, in
such denominations and payable in such manner
as they may deem best, and may secure the pay-
ment of the principal and interest of the said
bonds by the execution of one or more mortgages,
conveying the franchises of said Company, all its
road bed, estate and property, real and personal,
acquired and thereafter to be acquired, and its net
revenue and tolls.

Sec. 14. And be it enacted, That as to the rates
of tolls and charges, the making of road cross-
ings, and all other matters not herein specially
provided for, the powers, rights and duties of the
said Company shall be the same as those of the
Western Maryland Railroad Company.
