constructing said Railroad and such extensions,
and the lateral roads or branches herein provided
for; they shall have all the powers and be subject
to all the restrictions and liabilities hereinafter
provided, and to all the conditions of this Act.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the said Com-
pany may select for such road or roads the route
they may deem most suitable, and may decide upon
and lay out and construct as many lateral ways
from the main stem, at such point or points as they
may deem fit, such ways not exceeding eighty feet
in width, with one or more sets of tracks, and the
said Company, or the said President and Directors,
or their agents, or the persons with whom they
may contract for making said road, branches or
extensions, or their agents or employees, after

purchase or consideration as hereinafter provided,
may enter upon and use any land that may be
wanted for the site of said road or roads, or the
erection of the warehouses or other buildings and
works proper and useful for the purposes of said
Company, and may take and use any earth, tim-
ber, gravel, stone, or other material necessary for
the construction and repair of any part of said
Railroad or its works, and may make and construct
all works necessary and expedient for the proper
use and completion of said Railroad.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That for the purpose
of constructing and equip[ping] the aforesaid Har-
ford County Railroad, the said Company is hereby
authorized to borrow' money to any amount not
exceeding three hundred thousand dollars, the in-
terest thereon to he paid semi-annually, and to
issue bonds therefor in sums not less than one hun-
dred dollars, and to secure the payment of said
