CHAPTER 323.

 

AN ACT to repeal the Act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-eight, (1868,) Chapter two hundred
and thirty-four, relating to the annual donation
of five hundred dollars to the West Nottingham
Academy, in Cecil County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-eight, Chapter two hundred and thirty-
four, entitled, " An Act to restore to the West
Nottingham Academy, in Cecil county, the annual

 

donation of five hundred dollars, to be paid out of
the School Fund of said County/' and which au-
thorizes the Treasurer of the State to retain the
sum of five hundred dollars out of the Free School
Fund of Cecil County, and pay over said sum to
the treasurer of said Academy, be and the same is
hereby repealed.

Repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 4, 1870.

CHAPTER 324.

 

AN ACT to provide for the payment of a sum of
money to Charles E. Hayward, State's Attorney
for Dorchester County, for professional services
rendered the State.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Trea-
sury be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer for the
payment to Charles E. Hayward, State's Attorney
for Dorchester county, of the sum of one hundred
and sixty dollars, in full compensation for profes-
sional services rendered the State in the trial before
H. T. Winterbottom, Justice of the Peace, in and
for said county, of sixteen cases for violation of the
Oyster Law, and the said sum of money is hereby
