hereby authorized and directed to draw his war-
rants for an amount not exceeding the sum of
forty-nine thousand five hundred and thirty-one
dollars and forty-three cents, or so much thereof
as may be necessary, upon the Treasurer, payable
to the order of R. Snowden Andrews, of Baltimore
City, for such sums of money as he shall certify
upon oath to he justly due the various mechanics
and others for work and labor done and materials
furnished in the erection of the Governor's Man-
sion at Annapolis; provided, that the said R.

Comptroller
to draw war-
rant.

Snowden Andrews, at the time of filing his cer-
tificate, as aforesaid, with the Comptroller, shall
file with the said certificate accounts accompanied
with proper vouchers and receipts, showing the
names of the said mechanics and others to whom
money may be justly due, as aforesaid, and the
amounts due to each person or firm respectively,
said accounts to be certified upon the oath of the
mechanics'and others, parties to whom the amounts
may be due.

Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That the Comptroller be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to draw
his warrants upon the Treasurer for an amount
not exceeding the sum of six thousand five [five]

 

hundred and eighty-one dollars, due James Touch-
stone for iron railing, payable to the order of the
said James Touchstone; and thirteen thousand
one hundred and eighty-three dollars and eighty-
five cents, due to W. H. Johnson and others for
granite base, paving brick, painting railing, street
curb and street gutters around the square, or so
much thereof as may be necessary, payable to the
order of the said R. Snowden Andrews, for such
sums of money as he shall certify upon oath to be
justly due to the various mechanics and others for
work and labor done and materials furnished in
the enclosure and improvement of the grounds
surrounding the Governor's Mansion, in the city
of Annapolis; provided, that the said R. Snowden
Andrews, at the time of filing his certificate, as
aforesaid, with the Comptroller, shall file with the
said certificate accounts, accompanied with proper
