and picks, for the purpose of repairing said roads
and bridges, to be distributed with the several
Supervisors, who shall take care of them and pass
them to their successors when called for.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the County
Commissioners for each Election District shall
have general supervision over the several public
roads and bridges in his District, and it shall be
his duty to see that they are kept in good repair,

and he is hereby empowered to suspend any Road
Supervisor in his District for neglect of duty, and
in case of such suspension, he shall report the
same to the Board of Commissioners, who may
dismiss such offender.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That the County
Commissioners are hereby authorized to determine
the per diem to be allowed to the several Super-
visors, hands, horses, wagons, carts and plows,
and determine the number of hours that shall con-
stitute a day's work, and cause the same to be
entered upon the minutes of their proceedings,
and to notify the Supervisors thereof in writing,
and the said Commissioners are hereby authorized

property of said Montgomery County sufficient to
carry into effect the provisions of this Act.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That the County
Commissioners are hereby empowered to fill all
vacancies that may occur under the provisions of
this Act.

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That the Act of
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, Chapter three
hundred and sixty-three, entitled "An Act pro-
viding for the repairs of the public roads of Mont-
gomery County," be and the same is hereby re-
pealed.

Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
