Sec. 2. Be it enacted, That the first meeting of
the Stockholders shall he held on the first Monday
in July next, at such place within the Counties of
Washington or Frederick, in the State of Mary-
land, as the Directors appointed by this Act may
direct.

take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 159.

AN ACT for the relief of Daniel Ammen, of Anne
Arundel County, and authorizing the Commis-
sioners of said County to correct the errors in his
assessment.
|
|
WHEREAS Daniel Ammen, a citizen of the State
of Maryland and of Anne Arundel County, was
absent from the State of Maryland and beyond the
seas at the time of the last general assessment of
the property of this State, made by the Act of
eighteen hundred and sixty-six, chapter one hun-
dred and fifty-seven, and also at the time of the pas-
sage of the Supplemental Act of eighteen hundred

and sixty-eight, chapter one hundred and twenty-
six, extending the time for correcting said assess-
ment; and, whereas, it has been represented that
there have been great errors in the assessment of
the real estate of the said Daniel Ammen, situated
in Anne Arundel County, therefore

Section. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County, he and they are hereby
authorized to correct the errors in the assessment
and valuation of the lands and premises of Daniel
Ammen erroneously assessed under the Act of As-
sembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-six, chapter
