TUESDAY, February 8, 1870.

The House met and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Dr. Edwards.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Messrs, Latrobe, (Speaker,) Loker, Martin, Beck, Baldwin,
of A. A., Wells, Mitchell, Chapman, Cameron, Shipley,
Gatch, Choate, Brattan, Lankford, Harrington, Woolford,
Meekins, Owens, Biddle, Marbury, Duvall, Purnell, Thomas,
of Frederick, Bowlus, Ritter, White, Baldwin, of Harford,
Streett, Hopkins, Hardcastle, of Caroline, Garey, Sanner,
Hamilton, Cooper, Blake, Webb, Wilson, of Baltimore city,
McLane, Colton, Kirk, Collins, Ehlen, Gardner, Markland,
Marshall, Hoblitzell, Neill, Welty, Murdock, Sword, Wat-
kins, Kean, Wilson, of Allegany, Myers, Percy, Shower,
Jordan, Merrick, Gordy—59.

The Speaker laid before the House the Report of the Com-
missioners of Caroline county in response to an order of the
House.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.
Also,

The petition of William F. Shaw & Co., pressenting a
claim against the State in the matter of the Oyster Boat, and
asking relief.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Also,

The Report of the Commissioners on the matter of Oyster
Police.

Which was read, and,

On motion of Mr. Kirk,

Ordered to be printed.

The Report of the Commissioners of Anne Arundel county,
in response to an order of the House.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.

Mr. Hopkins presented the petition of Mary Ann Keating,
of Harford county, to be placed on the pension list.
