Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore are hereby author-
ized to make such provisions as to them shall seem
best, for the defraying of the cost of the grading
and paving of any streets or avenues which they
may lay out and condemn along the margin or
sides of said Jones' Falls.

Sec. 6. And be it further enacted, That none of
the provisions of Article four Public Local Laws,
in reference to constructing sewers and opening
and paving streets in the city of Baltimore, shall
apply to the construction of the sewers, and to the
opening and paving of the streets and avenues for
which provision is made in this Act, save in so far
as the said provision may be made applicable
thereto by an ordinance or ordinances of the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore passed for that pur-

pose; and provided, further, that no appeal shall
lie from the decisions of the Baltimore City Court
in proceedings in said Court under this Act.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That all of the pro-
visions of an ordinance of the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, entitled " An ordinance to
provide for the improvement of Jones' Falls within
the limits of the city of Baltimore," approved Jan-
uary thirty-first, eighteen hundred and seventy,
shall have the same force, effect and operation, and
be in all respects as valid, as if the said ordinance
bad been passed after the approval of this Act, or
had been passed after the enactment of a law by
the General Assembly of Maryland authorizing
and empowering the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore to pass such an ordinance.

Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act
shall take effect from the date of its passage.
