The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments, agreeably to the nominations.

Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

I herewith transmit to you the Executive general ap-
pointment made by my predecessor in office during the recess
of the Senate.

July 24, 1868.—John Riley, Ganger and Inspector of Li-
quors in Baltimore city, vice John W.
Darley, who failed to qualify.

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointment, agreeably to the nomination.
