Mr. Gorman submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, insert at the end of the section, the following
words, said sum to include the amount derived from the sale
of old furniture.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Meekins moved that the further consideration of the
bill be postponed until Friday next.

Decided in the negative.

The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Chapman moved that the bill be read a third time,
this day, under the provisions of section 27, Article 3, of the
Constitution.
