On motion by Mr. Miller,

The Senate took up for consideration the appointments for
Cecil county.

And on his motion,

The Senate advised and consented to said appointments,
agreeably to the nominations of the 19th January, 1870.

On motion by Mr. Hyland,

The Senate resumed the consideration of Legislative busi-
ness.

WEDNESDAY, Feb. 16,1870.

The following communications, which had been received
from his Excellency, Governor Bowie, by the hands of
Richard C. Hollyday, Esq. , Secretary of State, were read.

STATE OF MARYLAND,

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, February 16,1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland:

I nominate the following named gentlemen as Notary Pub-
lic, Armorer, Coroners, Wood Corders, Justices of the Peace
and Officers of Registration, for Talbot county:

Notary Public at Easton.

Armorer at Easton.
William J. Roberts.
Coroners.

Robert Kinnamon.
