Mr. Spates moved that House bill entitled an Act to con-
firm an Act passed by the General Assembly of Virginia, en-
titled an Act to incorporate the Shenandoah Valley Railroad
Company, passed February 23, 1867; also, to confirm an Act
passed by the Legislature of West Virginia, entitled an Act
to authorize the Shenandoah Valley Railroad Company to
construct their road through the State of West Virginia to
the Potomac river, passed February 25, 1870, and to autho-
rize the said Company to extend their road across the Poto-
mac, &c., be read the third time this day.
