Which was read a first time, and referred to Messrs. Pur-
nell, Dennis and Lankford.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick county to build a new Almshouse for
Frederick county, to borrow money on the credit of the
county for that purpose, to issue bonds for the payment of
the same, and to levy taxes on the assessable property of said
county to redeem said bonds and to pay the interest thereon.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Frederick
county delegation.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize Joshua Motter and
Samuel Motter, or either of them, to convey all the right,
title, interest and claim of the German Reformed Congrega-
tion, at Emmittsburg, in Frederick county, in and to the
Elias Church property, to the Evangelical Lutheran Congre-
gation or their legal representatives.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1 and 2, of chap-
ter 240, passed at the December session of the General As:
sembly, 1861, entitled an Act to amend Article 4, of the
Code of Public Local Laws relating to the City of Baltimore,
by imposing penalties for polluting the water in Swan Lake,
the darn, reservoir, line of conduit, water-pipes, gate-house
or other works contracted or used in supplying the City of
Baltimore with water, or injuring, defacing or destroying
the same, and to re-enact the said sections so as to read as
follows,

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
