property of their respective counties for the construction of
such meridians in case they adopt them, and we beg leave re-
spectfully to report the same for your consideration.

erection of a true meridian line standard in each county of
this State, and to provide for the protection of the same.

was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to repeal section
146, of Article 8, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Cecil County," and relating to the village of Port Deposit,
and re-enact the same with amendments.

Mr, Parker, from the Select Committee to whom the leave-
was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to repeal the
83d section of the 20th Article of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled "Fish and Fisheries, in the Patuxent river,
and re-enact the same with amendments.

Mr. Kimmel, from the Select Committee to whom the leave-
was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tions 922 to 927 inclusive, of Article 4, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, relating to the City of Baltimore, and to re-
enact the same with amendments, subject " Home of the
Friendless."

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Kimmel, from the Committee of Conference to confer
upon the disagreement of the votes upon the House bill in
relation to the increase of the capital stock of the Franklin
Bank of Baltimore, submitted the following

REPORT.

The Committee of Conference appointed to confer upon the
disagreement of the votes upon the House bill in relation to
the increase of the capital of the Franklin Bank of Baltimore,
respectfully report that they have had the subject matter re-
ferred to under consideration, and recommend that the Sen-
ate recede from the amendment incorporated in said bill, and
