the assessment of property in Wicomico county.

From the same Committee, to whom the leave was granted,
reported a bill entitled an Act to continue in force an Act
entitled an Act to regulate and make uniform the fees of
Constables, passed at the January session, 1868.

Which was read the first time.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the "Spa "
City Hotel Company of Bladensburg, Prince George's
county,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 171 of
Article 93, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
the investment by Guardians of the proceeds of sale of real
estate belonging to their wards and sold by a Trustee, in
equity, and to re-enact the same as follows :

Being upon its second reading, was
On motion by Mr. Henkle,
Postponed and ordered to be printed.

The Senate bill entitled a supplement to an Act incorpo-
rating the Columbia and Port Deposit Railroad Company,
&c.,

Being on its second reading, was,
On motion by Mr. Stephenson,
Postponed, and ordered to be printed.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment
of a sum of money to Charles E. Hayward, State's Attorney,
for Dorchester county, for professional services rendered the
State,
Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Fields submitted the following amendment:
Amend by striking out section 2.
Which was adopted.

Said bill as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act
for the establishment of an Academy at Elkton, in Cecil
county, passed at the December session, 1817,
