The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-

We have the honor to inform your Honorable Body that
the House of Delegates is now in session and prepared to re-
ceive your Honorable Body in Joint Assembly, to hear the
Eulogy on the late George Peabody pronounced by S. Teackle
Wallis, Esq

Mr. Carroll submitted the following response :

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message inviting us to the Hall of
your Honorable Body, to hear the oration upon the life and
character of the late George Peabody pronounced by S.
Teackle Wallis, Esq., and beg to say that we are ready to
avail ourselves of your invitation.

Which was read and sent to the House of Delegates.

The Senators then proceeded in a body, to the House of Dele-
gates, to hear the eulogy upon the life and character of Geo.
Peabody, by the Hon. S. Teackle Wallis.

At the conclusion of the address the Senators returned to
the Senate Chamber.

The Senate adjourned.
