Clarke and Fields.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

On motion by Mr. Earle, and by unanimous consent,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a, bill to repeal the Act of 1868, chapter 302, entitled an
Act to provide for refunding money paid into the State Trea-
sury.

On motion by Mr. Earle, and by unanimous consent,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to re-
port a bill to protect the citizens of Maryland against frau-
dulent and insolvent Life Insurance Companies, and to pro-
vide for the appointment of a Commissioner of Life Insu-
rance.

On motion by Mr. Henkle, and by unanimous consent,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to amend the charter of the Resolute Fire Insu-
rance Company of Baltimore.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

Annapolis, Feb. 18,1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message requesting the return to
the Senate of the "bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 958
and 959 of an Act entitled an Act to ratify the purchase and
to provide for the organization and government of Druid Hill
and Patterson Parks, belonging to the City of Baltimore, by
incorporating sections," and in compliance therewith, here-
with return said bill.
