A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to appoint

and commission nine additional Justices of the Peace for St.
Mary's county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal session 138 of Article 6,

title, ' 'Caroline county, "sub-title, ' 'Justices of the Peace
and Constables," and to re-enact the following section in
lieu thereof.

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Fields, Hyland and Malone.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 619 of Article 4,
of the Public Local Laws, entitled, "City of Baltimore,"
sub-title, "Justices of the Peace and Constables," and to
re-enact the same, so as to read's follows.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

The Senate bill entitled an Act, to amend an Act, entitled
a supplement to an Act, entitled an Act, to incorporate the
Superannuated Fund Society of the Maryland Annual Con-
ference, passed the December session, 1839, chapter 285,
passed at December session, 1844, chapter 31

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays,

as follows:

Fields, Parker,
Hyland, Snyder,
Jump, Timmons,
Kimmel, Welch.—14.

NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of
the Western Maryland Railroad Company, by increasing the
number of Directors in said Company, and authorizing the
appointment of six Directors by the Mayor and City Council,

&c.,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
