of filling the vacancy of Judge of the Sixth Judicial Cir-
cuit.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred the bill entitled an Act to repeal chap-
ter 259 of the law passed at the January Session, 1868, re-
lating to Notaries Public, asked to be discharged from the

further consideration thereof.

On motion by Mr. Miller,
Said bill was then referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported a bill
entitled an Act to release James B. Palmer, Daniel Triel
and Stewart R. Emory, securities on the bond of John Pal-
mer, Collector of State and County taxes in Queen Anne's
county for the year 1866, from the payment of interest on
State tax; levied on said district for 1866,

Which was read a first time,

Mr. Earle moved that sa.id bill be read the second time this
day.

The yeas and nays were called as required by section 27
of Article 3 of the Constitution, and appeared as follows :

entitled an Act to refund Alexander Brown & Sons, of the
City of Baltimore, agents of Brown, Shipley & Co. of London,
the sum of fifty-eight pounds, sixteen shillings and ten pence
