The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bill:
The, bill entitled an Act to amend Article 75, section 23,
of tte Code of Public General Laws of the State of Mary-
land, relating to amendment of proceedings in actions at
law.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills-
The bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest of Stephen
Rigdon, late of Harford county, deceased, to the Trustees of
the Rock Ridge Regular Baptist Society or Church in said
county,
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ment:"
AMEDMENT PROPOSED.
Add at the end of the first section the following words:
Provided that nothing contained in this Act shall be con-
strued to affect any suit at law, or legal proceedings now pend-
ing in any Court of this State in relation to the property
devised as aforesaid.
The proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill, as
amended, passed by yeas and nays, as follows:
