Which was adopted.

Mr. Morse submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Committee Clerks be required to remain
at Annapolis after the adjournment of this House and com-
plete the clerical labor unfinished at this date, and in con-
sideration thereof they be allowed six dollars per diem from
the commencement of the session.

Which was rejected.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes-
sage:

BY THE SENATE,

April 4, 1870.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message proposing to adjourn sine
die to-night at 12 o'clock, and respectfully decline to concur.

We respectfully propose instead, that both Houses adjourn
sine die at 6 o'clock A. M.

By order,

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.
Which was read.

Mr. Merrick moved to non-concur iu the message from the
Senate.

Mr. Gatch moved, as a substitute for the motion submitted
by Mr. Merrick, to concur in the message from the Senate.
The question recurring upon concurring in the motion,

Mr. Wilson, of Baltimore city, moved the previous ques-
tion,

The question then being, "Shall the previous question be
now put?"

It was decided in the affirmative.

The question then recurring upon the concurring in the
motion submitted by Mr. Gatch,

On motion of Mr. Gatch,

The yeas and nays were ordered and appeared, as follows:.
