Wiley, McLane, Kirk, Ehlen, Gardner, Hoblitzell, Neill,
Murdock, Sword, Veitch, Watkins, Jordan, Winters, Mer-
rick, Gorman, Crawford—46.

Mr. Touchstone submitted the following order :

Ordered, That during,the recess of the Legislature, the hall
of the House of Delegates and committee rooms thereto at-
tached, shall be under the care and control of the present
Hall Keeper.

Which was adopted.

Mr. McLane submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

April 4, 1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
that the two Houses of the General Assembly adjourn sine
die at 12 o'clock, midnight, this 4th day of April.

M. Y. KIDD,

Chief Clerk.

Which was read, asssnted to, and sent to the Senate.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills :

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 810, of Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws of the City of Baltimore,
chapter 367, passed at the January session 1867, relating to
the Police of the city, and re-enact the same with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ment."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend section 810 by striking out the word "thirty," at
the end of line 35, and insert in lieu thereof the word twenty.

Which was read and adopted.

And the bill, as amended, passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
