NEGATIVE— None.

 

The House then proceeded to the consideration of the order
of the day, being the Senate bill entitled an Act to add two
additional sections to the 30th Article, of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled "Crimes and Punishments," relating
to killing cattle.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ments submitted by the Committee on the Judiciary on the
15th ultimo,

The proposed amendments were rejected.

Mr. Kirk submitted the following amendment:

Strike out the word "person" in line 5, and add: Shall,
upon conviction, be fined not less than twenty nor more than
one hundred dollars.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Colton moved that the further consideration of the bill
be indefinitely postponed.

Decided in the negative.

The bill was then read a second time.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to endorse or guarantee the first
mortgage bonds of the Maryland Central Railroad Company,
to the amount of six hundred thousand dollars,
