The'bill entitled an Act to confirm an Act passed by the
General Assembly of Virginia, entitled an Act to incorporate
the Shenandoah Valley Railroad Company, passed February
23, 1867 ; also, to confirm an Act passed by the Legislature
of West Virginia, entitled an Act to authorize the Shenan-
doah Valley Railroad Company to construct their Road
through the State of West Virginia to the Potomac River,
passed February 25, 1870, and to authorize the said Com-
pany to extend their Road across the Potomac River, and to
Hagerstown, in Washington county, in this State,
