Mr. Hammond, Chairman of the Committee on Education,
(the rules being suspended,) reported favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act for the benefit of the Cam-
bridge Female Academy, with proposed amendments.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 1, line 4, strike out all after the word "lands" to
the end of the section, and insert: To the Board of County
School Commissioners of Dorchester county for the use of the
public schools in said county.
Amend title so as to read, entitled an Act to divert a cer-
tain sum of money in the hands of Commissioners to the Board
of School Commissioners of Dorchester county for the use of
the public schools in said county.
The amendments were adopted.
And the bill, as amended, read a second time.
The bill entitled an Act to regulate fences in Carroll
county,
Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
