Also, Section 33', line 1, strike out the word "thousand,"
and insert the word hundred.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Hamilton submitted the following amendment:

Section 35, line 10, strike out the words "twenty-five hun-
dred," and insert the words: one thousand.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Hamilton submitted the following amendment:

Section 35, line 10, strike out the words "twenty-five,"
and insert fifteen.

Which was rejected.

On motion of Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel,

The vote by which the amendment to section 16, line 9, to
strike out the words, "within two and a-half miles of," and
insert: in waters less than fourteen feet in depth, was
adopted,

Was reconsidered.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
amendment,

Mr. Kilbourn submitted the following amendment as a
substitute:

Section 16, line 9, strike out the word "two" and insert
the word ''one" after the word within.

Which was adopted.

The bill, as amended, was then read a second time.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, the House proceeded to the consideration of the bill en-
titled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay William
Black for the purchase of a lot, and erection of a stable and
carriage house thereon for the State of Maryland, in the city
of Annapolis.

Said bill being upon a third reading,

The bill was then read a third time and rejected (for want
of constitutional majority) by yeas and nays, as follows :
