Said bill was then sent to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Merrick, (the rules being suspended,)
The House proceeded to the consideration of bills entitled
to a second reading.

Mr. Sanner moved a suspension of the rules, and that the
House proceed, to the consideration of the Pension bill.

Decided in the negative.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 555, 557, 558,
559, 560, 561, 562, 563, 564, of Article 4, of the Public Lo-
cal Laws pf Baltimore city, entitled "Wood," and also to re-
peal chapter 116, passed January session 1862, relating to
inspection and cording of fire wood in Baltimore city,

Was read a third time, and
On motion, of Mr. Harrington,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill made the order of the day for Thursday, the 31st inst.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled an
Act providing for the sale of the property,of the President
and Visitors of the Maryland Hospital in Baltimore city, and
for the removal of said Hospital to Spring Grove, in Balti-
more county, and for the transfer of Said Spring Grove pro-
perty to the said President and Visitors,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments,"

The amendments were read.

Mr. Merrick moved to non-concur in the proposed Senate
amendments.

Mr. McCreery moved to concur ia the Senate amendments.
Decided in the negative.

The question then recurring upon the motion submitted by
Mr. Merrick,

It was decided in the affirmative, and the Senate amend-
ments non-concurred in.

Mr. Merrjck submitted the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 30, 1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

The House of Delegates have considered the amendments
proposed by your Honorable Body to the House bill relating
