Mr. Hoblitzell submitted the following amendment:

Add after "Baltimore city :" in pursuance of the 40th sec-
tion of the 4th Article of the Constitution.

The amendment' was adopted, and the title, as amended,
was then adopted.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to ap-
point an additional Justice of the Peace for the 4th and 5th
election districts of Montgomery county,
