vorably a bill entitled a supplement to an Act entitled an
Act to authorize the persons therein named to build a Meth-
odist meeting house on the public grounds in Chestertown,
Kent county, passed at November session 1801, Chapter 37.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Seibert, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the town
of Leitersburg, Md.,
Which was read a first time.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills :
A bill entitled an Act to repeal section three of chapter-
two hundred and fifty-six, passed at the January session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, entitled "An Act to aid
in the establishment of a Hospital in connection with the
Washington University of Baltimore, and to appropriate-
money for the same," and to re-enact the same to read as
follows:

tee on Ways and Means.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to release James B. Palmer, David
Kriel and Stewart R. Emory, securities on the bond of John
Palmer, collector of State and county taxes in the 3d election
district of Queen Anne's county, for the year 1866, from the
payment of interest on State tax levied on said district for
said year 1866.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to refund Alexander Brown & Sons,
of the city of Baltimore, Agents of Brown, Shipley & Co., of
London, the sum of fifty-eight pounds, sixteen shillings and
ten pence in gold, amounting in currency to four hundred
dollars and ninety cents, for money erroneously paid by them
into the Treasury on or about the 1st of July, 1867.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.
