1006 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Colton,

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill en-
titled an Act to appropriate the sum of sixty-nine thousand,
two hundred and ninety-six dollars and twenty-eight cents,
to pay the various mechanics and others, the amounts due
them for work and labor .done, and materials furnished, in
the erection of the Governor's Mansion at Annapolis, and
the enclosure and improvements of the grounds surrounding
the same.

On motion of Ms. Colton,

The vote by which said bill was rejected for want of a con-
stitutional majority, on Wednesday 23d inst.,

Was reconsidered.

The question then recurring upon the passage of the bill.

On motion of Mr. Colton,

A call of the House was ordered.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Messrs. Latrobe, (Speaker,) Loker.Martin, Wilmer, Kil-
bourn, Baldwin of Anne Arundel, Wells, Owings, Duke,
Mitchell, Cameron, Shipley, Gatch, Choate, Turner, Ham-
mond, Lankford, Meekins, Touchstone, Owens, Richards,
Biddle, Marbuty, Wootton, Thomas, of Queen Anne's,
Brown, Dennis, Purnell, Bowlus, Bitter, Ady, Hopkins,
Garey, Sanner, Hamilton, Morse, Webb, Wiley, McLane,
Colton, Kirk, Collins, Ehlen, Gardner, Markland, Marshall,
Hoblitzell, Neill, Sword, Watkins, Kean, Wilson, of Alle-
gany, Standish, Myers, Percy, Crouse, Merrick, Gorman,
Crawford, Gordy-55.

On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,

The Sergeant-at-Arms was ordered to notify the absent mem-
bers to give their attendance, and to bring them before the

bar of the House.

After an absences of twenty minutes, the Sergeant-at-Arms,
returned and reported that he had notified the absent mem-
bers now in the city to give their attendance, and had brought
them before the bar of the House.

On motion of Mr. Martin,

All, further proceedings under the call were dispensed
with.

The question recurring upon the passage of the bill.
