The Advisory Committee on Graduate Medical
Education was formed in 1995 by the Health Serv
ices Cost Review Commission to help the Depart
ment of Fiscal Services study the financing of
graduate medical education (Chapter 499, Acts of
1995) On December 1, 1995, the Committee
reported to the Senate Finance Committee and the
House Environmental Matters Committee on a
plan to distribute equitably the reasonable costs of
graduate medical education

HEALTH
From the Policy and Health Statistics Admimstra
tion, the Division was transferred to the Local and
Family Health Administration and renamed the
Office of Primary Care Services in July 1994
DIVISION OF PROGRAM SERVICES
Under the Medical Care Policy Administration,
Division functions were transferred to two new
units— the Division of Special Populations and the
Division of Waiver Programs— in December 1994

EPIDEMIOLOGY & PREVENTION
Under the AIDS Administration, reorganized as
the Center for Epidemiology in 1994
GREAT OAKS CENTER
Formerly under the Developmental Disabilities Ad
ministration, Great Oaks Center is scheduled to
close by June 30,1996 The Center's residents will
be transferred to group homes in southern and
central Maryland
HEALTH SERVICES
Under the AIDS Administration, Health Services
ceased to exist m 1994 when the Administration
was reorganized under a Deputy Director and the
assistant directorships were eliminated
HOSPITALS & AMBULATORY CARE PROGRAM
Under the Licensing and Certification Admmistra
Qon, the Hospitals and Ambulatory Care Program
in 1995 was divided into two programs the Devel
opmental Disabilities and Ambulatory Care Pro
gram, and the Hospitals and Complaint Program

Under the Family and Local Health Administra
tion, the Office was merged with the Office of
Children's Medical Services in 1994 to form the
Office of Child Health and Children's Medical
Services

The Office of Women's Health was formed in 1994
to support the Commission on Women's Health
(Executive Order 01 01 1994 18) The Office was
abolished later that year Its functions were assigned
to the Office of Planning and Capital Finance
