At the request of the Chairs of the Senate Budget
and Taxation Committee and the House Appro-
priations Committee, the Department of Budget
and Fiscal Planning in 1994 convened a task force
to study child care and child development programs
in Maryland. The Task Force focused on two issues:
the need for year-round child care programs for
full-time working Marylanders, and greater coordi-
nation by the State Department of Education and
the Department of Human Resources in using State
and federal funds to meet these needs.
The Task Force submitted its final report and rec-
ommendations in November 1994.
DIVISION OF PRIVATIZATION
Abolished in May 1995 when the Governor formed
the Governor's Council on Management and Pro-
ductivity (Executive Order 01.01.1995.12).
DATA PROCESSING TRAINING CENTER
Under the Division of Administration, renamed
Information Technology Training Center in 1994.
