By law, the State Treasurer is a member of the
Board of Public Works, the Board of Trustees of the
State Retirement and Pension System, the Board of
Revenue Estimates, the Maryland Agricultural Land
Preservation Foundation, the Board of State Canvass-
ers, the Governor's Salary Commission, the Hall of

Records Commission, the Maryland Health and
Higher Educational Facilities Authority, the Pro-
curement Advisory Council, and the Maryland
State Employees Surety Bond Committee. The
Treasurer also chairs the Capital Debt Affordability
Committee.
