DEFUNCT DEPARTMENTAL AGENCIES

BOARD OF PATUXENT INSTITUTION

Abolished in 1989 (Chapter 6, Acts of 1989).

INMATE GRIEVANCE COMMISSION

Reorganized in 1991 as the Inmate Grievance Of-
fice (House Bill 1214, Acts of 1991).

INSTITUTIONAL BOARD OF REVIEW

For Patuxent Institution, the Board was reor-
ganized and renamed as the Board of Review in
1989 (Chapter 6, Acts of 1989).

JESSUP PRE-RELEASE UNIT

Reorganized as the Herman Toulson Correctional
Boot Camp in August 1990. Later, a new Jessup
Pre-Rclease Unit was opened in September 1990.

STATE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT &
CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY

Renamed as the Maryland Emergency Manage-
ment Agency and transferred to the Military
Department in 1989 (Chapter 674, Acts of 1989).
