land, 1971-. Born in Baltimore, September 17, 1926. Loyola
High School; Loyola College; University of Baltimore Law

U.S. Navy. Member, Maryland State Bar Association (vice-presi-
dent, 1969-70). Admitted to practice, Supreme Court of the
United States, 1963. Deputy attorney general of Maryland,
1966-71; chief of the Criminal Division, Office of the Attorney
General, 1964-66; assistant attorney general of Maryland,
1961-64; magistrate. Housing Court of Baltimore City, 1959-61.
Former instructor in law, Villa Julie College; co-founder, Advo-
cate Club of Baltimore (president, 1960). Married; 2 children, 2
grandchildren.
